Suspect Pulls Gun on 4 Victims in South LA, killed by LAPD in latest Officer Involved Shooting

SOUTH LA – The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that their officers had been involved in a fatal shooting just before 10 pm last night at the intersection of Figueroa and 110th streets.

The four victims were in the parking lot of the gas station when the suspect approached them and pointed a weapon.

LAPD says officers witnessed the encounter and when they arrived they “gave the suspect commands which he failed to comply with.”

Police then fired not the subject, hitting him. He was pronounced dead on the scene. LAPD Crime Scene Technicians could be seen hours later collecting evidence and preparing the body for transport.

The suspect has not been identified as of the writing of this article.

The LAPD did confirm that officers were harmed in the shooting and that they did recover a firearm.
